a) Was ist die Ursache?

Die Omarthrose ist ein fortschreitender Verschleiß des Gelenkknorpels von Humeruskopf und Glenoid. Häufig primär (altersbedingter Knorpelabbau), sekundär nach Unfällen/ Luxationen, Fehl-/Überlastung, entzündlichen Erkrankungen oder bei Rotatorenmanschetten-Defekt (cuff tear arthropathy). Alter und höherer BMI können ebenfalls das Risiko einer Schulterarthrose erhöhen.

b) Welche Beschwerden sind typisch?

Schleichender Beginn mit belastungsabhängigen Schulterschmerzen, später auch Ruheschmerz; zunehmende Bewegungseinschränkung (v. a. Elevation/Rotation), Funktionsverlust im Alltag; gelegentlich Krepitation (‚Reiben’ im Gelenk).

a) Was ist die Ursache?

Die Omarthrose ist ein fortschreitender Verschleiß des Gelenkknorpels von Humeruskopf und Glenoid. Häufig primär (altersbedingter Knorpelabbau), sekundär nach Unfällen/ Luxationen, Fehl-/Überlastung, entzündlichen Erkrankungen oder bei Rotatorenmanschetten-Defekt (cuff tear arthropathy). Alter und höherer BMI können ebenfalls das Risiko einer Schulterarthrose erhöhen.

b) Welche Beschwerden sind typisch?

Schleichender Beginn mit belastungsabhängigen Schulterschmerzen, später auch Ruheschmerz; zunehmende Bewegungseinschränkung (v. a. Elevation/Rotation), Funktionsverlust im Alltag; gelegentlich Krepitation (‚Reiben’ im Gelenk).
