Dr. med. Guido Laps ist Experte für konservative und operative Behandlungen der Fuß- und Sprunggelenksregion (GFFC-Expertenstatus, D.A.F.-Masterzertifikat) sowie für akute Sportverletzungen und chronische Überlastungsbeschwerden des Bewegungsapparates. Er führt ambulante und stationäre Operationen bei Kindern und Erwachsenen durch und legt besonderen Fokus auf Diagnostik und präventive Trainingstherapie bei funktionellen Beschwerden im Kindes- und Jugendalter. Als zertifizierter M-Arzt (VBG) betreut er Sportunfälle im Leistungs- und Profisport und ist seit 2007 Mannschaftsarzt des Handball-Bundesligisten TSV Bayer Dormagen.

Dr. med. Guido Laps ist Facharzt für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie mit den Zusatzbezeichnungen Sportmedizin und Chirotherapie. Als Mitbegründer und Inhaber der Orthopädie am Gürzenich in Köln (seit 2015) kombiniert er fundierte Fachkompetenz mit innovativen Therapieverfahren – für eine individuelle, evidenzbasierte Versorgung seiner Patientinnen und Patienten.

Schwerpunkte in Diagnostik und Therapie
Dr. med. Guido Laps ist spezialisiert auf die konservative und operative Versorgung des Bewegungsapparates – sowohl bei orthopädischen Erkrankungen als auch bei akuten oder chronischen Sportverletzungen. Dabei verfolgt er einen ganzheitlichen Behandlungsansatz mit dem Ziel, Beschwerden ursächlich zu behandeln, Beweglichkeit wiederherzustellen und Funktion langfristig zu sichern.

Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Behandlung von Erkrankungen und Verletzungen an Fuß und Sprunggelenk. Als zertifizierter Fußchirurg (GFFC-Expertenstatus, D.A.F.-Masterzertifikat) beherrscht er das gesamte Spektrum – von Eingriffen an der Achillessehne über Band-, Knorpel- und Sehnenverletzungen bis hin zur Versorgung komplexer Knochen- und Gelenkbeschwerden. Insbesondere Erst- und Revisionseingriffe im Bereich der Achillessehne sowie bei Band- und Knorpelverletzungen des Sprunggelenks gehören ebenso zu seinem Leistungsspektrum wie die operative Versorgung von Knochenbrüchen, Fuß- und Zehendeformitäten. Hierbei kommen auch arthroskopische und minimal-invasive Verfahren zum Einsatz, die eine schnellere Heilung und geringere Belastung ermöglichen.

Seit 25 Jahren schlägt sein Herz für die Gesundheit unserer Füße – und für die Menschen, die er wieder auf ihre Beine bringt und auf ihrem Weg zurück in einen schmerzfreien Alltag begleitet. Er nimmt sich bewusst die Zeit, den Menschen hinter dem Patienten kennenzulernen, und geht den Weg der Genesung Schritt für Schritt gemeinsam mit ihnen.

Jeder Patient verlässt sein Sprechstundenzimmer erst dann, wenn er die Diagnose und die individuelle Behandlung vollständig verstanden hat. Besonders nach Operationen begleitet Dr. Laps seine Patientinnen und Patienten persönlich durch die gesamte Nachbehandlungszeit. Sportmedizin & Teamarzt-Erfahrung
Seit 2007 betreut Dr. med. Guido Laps als Mannschaftsarzt den Handball-Bundesligisten TSV Bayer Dormagen und steht zahlreichen Profi- und Leistungssportlern – insbesondere im Laufsport – beratend und therapeutisch zur Seite. Die Anerkennung als M-Arzt durch die gesetzliche Unfallversicherung VBG (seit 2016) unterstreicht seine Qualifikation in der Behandlung von Arbeits- und Sportunfällen. Darüber hinaus ist er seit 2007 als TV-Arzt in verschiedenen Formaten für RTL und ProSieben tätig.
